stuck sackboy

Played Little Big Planet online for the first time yesterday.

It is too cute. You can dress him up with various items found along your journey. Anything from what material you're made of , to headgear to a tail.

Extreme right is original Sackboy. The other 3 have been customised.

Was playing a custom 'Mario Kart' level. Somehow after the race, I had landed outside my kart and got my head wedged between the front of the kart and a platform we had to jump on in order to proceed. So I'm yelling comon guys I'm stuck and they try to pull the kart out but it doesn't work. In the end, had to commit suicide.

Then there was a 'Star Wars' level where we can equip ourselves with paintball guns. I didn't know how to aim the damn thing so my friend had to drag me here there and everywhere. I think he was rather frustrated. He kept emoting a sackboy with flames everywhere.

IBS

Started out with an immensely annoying ear block. You know the kind when you're up in a plane and the pressure difference causes you to hear yourself talking. I HATE THAT.

As if it wasn't bad enough I was also feeling bloated, had a slight fever and having some crazy sounds going on in my tummy.

After 2 GPs and a specialist, I was diagnosed with IBS - Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It is usually triggered by stress. Imagine that... stressed until diarrhoea. LOL. Dr Ngoi didn't want to give me any medication without exhausting all the 'simple' methods first. So now I have to keep a food diary. I can still eat whatever, just that I need to record it and how I'm feeling that day.

Aiyoooo... lazy to do blog how to food diary.

there and back again

Have recently completed a 3 week healthcare assignment for my ex-boss in KL.

Now then I realise how tiring it is to travel. Fridays come back SG on 2340 flight and go back KL on Mondays 0640 flight.

KL has a horrible airport yet there are signs all over the place declaring it the 'World's Best Airport'. Have no clue which survey gave it that kind of result. Do NOT go there on an empty stomach there is literally nothing to eat. They have one measly foodcourt or 'Food Paradise' as is written on the signboard. Half the items are 'sold out' , whilst the other half well.. let's just say you're better off at Burger King which is an aerotrain ride away. Very few shops to browse and nothing to do in the waiting lounge. They announce something every 3 minutes, telling passengers that their gate has been changed. Sian.

Bad layout, poor facilities and nothing to eat aside, they do have a nice efficient express train that goes straight to KL Central.

Stayed at Boulevard mid valley. Convenient. But the traffic ! BAD BAD BAAAAD

Learnt alot about government healthcare operations and met alot of people. If our proposal is accepted by Ministry of Health looks like I'll be heading back there.

My weekly allowance ! WHEEEEEEEEEEE

perfume : the story of a murderer

Saw this strange yet intriguing movie over Star Movies last night titled 'Perfume : The Story of a Murderer'

Didn't really catch the beginning but saw about 70% of it.

It's based on a novel of the same title by German writer Patrick Süskind.

How to go wrong with a serial killer and beautiful virgins ?

won't eat without you

Had dinner with dad's cousin and his wife. He was recalling an incident that happened this morning.

He was having friends over for lunch and then big dinner with the cousin so he thought he'd better not eat too heavy a breakfast cos well, his tummy ain't getting any smaller and mum's horns would come out.

Ah Mah and him were at the coffee shop. He ordered a plate of noodles for Ah Mah and nothing for himself. Ah Mah refused to eat. She kept pushing the plate of noodles to my dad. Only when he had ordered something for himself would she start eating.

She calls him the wrong name 80% of the time and recognises me 1 out of 10 times. Even in her state of mind, she was still able to do that.

I found it so touching.
