tv must be off

I don't know what it is , but I simply canNOT sleep (till the next morning) with the television on .

At some point in the night/early morning if it's on I will automatically wake up. Sometimes, there's no actual program but it's still on as in only the cable box/dvd is off but the tv itself is still on.

Because Grumpy knows about my "condition" he always always ALWAYS conveniently falls asleep whilst watching.
